Trail Description

Plantation Track runs for 7.8km in the central section of the Kurrajong Mountain Bike Area. The photos taken below are of the eastern and western sections of the trail (approximately 6km of the trail. The photos run northwards from the Kurrajong Avenue car park and continue in an anticlockwise direction.

Plantation Track is a fast flowing single track with only gradual rises or drops in elevation making it good for quick training runs and is suitable for less experienced riders. Obstacles such as raised wooden platforms, etc can be readily bypassed by the inexperienced.

Follow prominent route 16 markers from the Kurrajong Avenue Picnic Area or pick up from trails 15 and 17 as per the map. Below is the track starting as a wide trail from the Kurrajong Avenue Picnic Area. The next six photos are typical of the eastern section of the track leading up to Chainsaw Track.

Heading up eastern side of loop - nice gradual climb.

Starting to return from Chainsaw Track to the Kurrajong Avenue Picnic Area.

This section is a bit more grown in now and provides a tight fast section heading south.

Crossing one of the roads and heading into the middle of the circuit area, slightly uphill through here.
